At the 2026 Met Gala on May 4, Kim Kardashian made a bold statement wearing a tangerine-orange fiberglass breastplate and body armor created by British pop artist Allen Jones in collaboration with Whitaker Malem. The look, styled by Nadia Lee Cohen, featured a leather skirt and a sculpted bodice that perfectly embodied the “Costume Art” theme. The outfit leaned into the “Fashion Is Art” theme by transforming the body into a “living sculpture”. She debuted a lighter, bombshell blonde retro blowout, a change from her signature dark hair.
In 2021, Kardashian opted for full coverage…mostly. The superstar clothed herself in a spandex-like black ensemble that masked her face, head, and feet, only showing her long ponytail. While it was later revealed that she was wearing a full face of makeup under the Balenciaga disguise, it was all in vain—the tight bodysuit covered her completely. Her silhouette, of course, was still recognizable.
